ORIGIN OF KAHWA
In ancient times, it was also popular as Emperor’s Tea. While its exact origins are unclear, Kahwa tea leaves are said to have come to Kashmir through the Spice Route, which Kashmir was a central point of. Many believe that it originated during the Kushan empire in the first and second century AD. It's ingredients are from various places: Green Tea from Darjeeling, Saffron from Kashmir, Cardamom, Clove, Ginger and Cinnamon from Kerala and Rose petals from Rajasthan in India.
