CLEAR YOUR AURA WITH REIKI

reiki healing arts Japanese
Reiki is a holistic Japanese healing technique. Reiki word means Mysterious Atmosphere or Miraculous Sign. Rei means universal and Ki means life energy. Reiki is a of healing practice which uses energy force to reduce stress and anxiety and promotes relaxation. Reiki is linked to a range of physical and emotional health benefits, including better sleep, improved mood, and pain relief.

In 2018 the “Journal of Holistic Nursing” reported Reiki was effective in improving sleep quality and reducing stress in patients with chronic pain. In 2017 study published in the journal “Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice” found Reiki was effective in reducing anxiety and depression.

reiki healing reduces stress

According to practitioners, energy can stagnate in the body wherever there is any emotional pain or physical injury. Reiki practitioners act as a middle ground between you and energy forces. Energy travels from their hands to you, and more specifically the areas of focus.

Reiki master (who has undergone formal training in this healing art) uses gentle hand movements with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy (what's known in Reiki as life force energy) through the client's body to reduce stress and promote healing. As the practitioner works, you may feel a warm, pulsing energy coming from his or her hands. “All these sensations are very comforting, and they don't mean anything other than that the Reiki [energy] is really flowing.

Research suggests Reiki helps the body return to a state of relaxation, which allows it to potentially better heal from damage brought on by stress, injury, or disease. To begin any Reiki practice, you must activate the energy within yourself. Close your eyes and take a few rounds of deep breaths. Imagine the crown of your head opening and a stream of healing white light flowing from the top of your head, into your heart, and out through your arms and hands.

One of the most common experiences reported by those who undergo Reiki therapy is the appearance of colors. These colors can be seen with the eyes closed or open, and they can vary in intensity, brightness, and hue. The colors that you see during Reiki are not random, but rather, they are believed to be related to your chakras.

Chakras are energy centers in your body that are associated with different emotions, physical sensations, and spiritual states. The colors that are most commonly seen during Reiki treatment sessions are mauve, purple, pink, white, gold and blue and are all associated with our upper chakras, spiritual awareness, opening and connection. Seeing colours is a beautiful experience and it is due to vibrations that a person experiences these colours

  • Red: This color is associated with the root chakra, which is located at the base of the spine. Red represents passion, energy, and vitality.
  • Orange: This color is associated with the sacral chakra, which is located just below the navel. Orange represents creativity, joy, and enthusiasm.
  • Yellow: This color is associated with the solar plexus chakra, which is located just above the navel. Yellow represents confidence, self-esteem, and personal power.
  • Green: This color is associated with the heart chakra, which is located in the center of the chest. Green represents love, compassion, and healing.
  • Blue: This color is associated with the throat chakra, which is located in the throat. Blue represents communication, self-expression, and truth.
  • Indigo: This color is associated with the third eye chakra, which is located in the center of the forehead. Indigo represents intuition, insight, and spiritual awareness.
  • Violet: This color is associated with the crown chakra, which is located at the top of the head. Violet represents spirituality, enlightenment, and connection to the divine.
Seeing colors during Reiki is believed to be a sign that the energy is flowing through the body and that the chakras are being balanced. Each color is associated with a particular chakra, and the perception of these colors can give insight into which chakras may need more attention or healing.

Reiki symbols are sacred emblems that are used by Reiki healing practitioners, especially within Usui Reiki, a form of alternative healing that was developed in early 1900s Japan by Mikao Usui. In Reiki, the Japanese healing touch energy flow practice, four main Usui Reiki symbols are used to channel universal life-force energy.
  • The “Cho Ku Rei” Reiki Symbol - the Power Symbol
  • The “Sei Hei Ki” Reiki Symbol - the Harmony Symbol
  • The “Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen” Reiki Symbol - the Distance Healing Symbol
  • The “Dai Ko Myo” Reiki Symbol - the Master Symbol
  • The “Raku” Reiki Symbol - the Completion or Grounding symbol
The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes Reiki therapy as a form of therapy within the classification of alternative therapies. Reiki is a method of healing that dates back to about 2500 years, but was forgotten about for a long time. In the nineteenth century the system was rediscovered by a man called Dr Mikao Usui. Reiki roots come from India having passed through Tibet and China to Japan where Dr Mikao Usui rediscovered it.

SMUDGING A SACRED DIVINE WAY TO GET POSITIVITY

Smudging is a sacred art. The word “smudging” comes from “smudge,” which is English in origin. However, the term has been used widely to refer to the smudging ceremonies of Indigenous peoples, in which sacred herbs and medicines are burned as part of a ritual, or for cleansing or health purposes. The art of smudging is an ancient spiritual ritual for purification, dispelling negative energy and improving mood.  Spiritual Side of Smudging: Smudging is a ceremonial practice that holds significant cultural and spiritual importance for many Indigenous peoples in Canada. Incense is still used today in the Roman Catholic Church and other religions for purification.  Native elders teach that the smoke of dried sage clears negative energy and restores harmony.  Sage, sweetgrass or tobacco is burned in the shell, with the feather used to guide the fragrant smoke around a person.  Called smudging, it's a daily practice for many Dakota and Ho-Chunk people. HIBISUS FOR SKIN AND HAIR CARE

Hibiscus is often referred to as a miracle flower. The vitamin C and E extracts in the flower lighten your skin tone and hydrate it to get glowing skin.  Hibiscus is excellent for skin tightening because the anthocyanins stimulate elastin production, helping the natural process of keeping your skin tight and youthful looking.  One of the primary benefits of hibiscus for skin is that it is rich in Vitamin A. Vitamin A is anti-inflammatory when applied to the skin and can help reduce any redness or soreness.  At the same time, hibiscus acids promote production of a protein that boosts cell regeneration, speeding healing along.  Hibiscus contains phenolic compounds that, by scavenging free radicals, protect the skin from environmental damage.  Furthermore, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) in hibiscus exfoliate the skin, making it an excellent choice for a face pack .  In addition, it improves skin texture and reduces blackheads and hyperpigmentation. You can use h...
